MEDIA USAGE POLICY

DiscoApe Sports is an independent sports media outlet based in St. Louis, Missouri. DiscoApe Sports is a brand of DiscoApe Creative, LLC. All content, including photographs, graphics, and written material, is protected under U.S. copyright law (Title 17, United States Code).

This policy governs use by media outlets, publications, schools, teams, leagues, and athletic organizations.

MEDIA & PUBLICATIONS

Permission is required before publication. Send requests to dan@discoape.com. Requests are answered promptly.

Approved use carries the following terms:

  • Credit every image: Photo: DiscoApe Sports / discoape.com

  • Credit must appear adjacent to the image or in the article credits. It may not be placed in fine print.

  • Images may not be altered, filtered, or cropped to remove branding or watermarks.

  • Images may not be composited, overlaid, or digitally manipulated beyond standard formatting for publication layout.

SCHOOLS, TEAMS & ORGANIZATIONS

Schools, teams, leagues, and athletic organizations may share DiscoApe Sports content on their official accounts under two conditions:

  1. Credit and tag. Tag @discoapesports and include full attribution.

  2. Notify first. Send written notice to dan@discoapesports.com before publication, stating where the images will run and how they will be used.

This permission does not extend to:

  • Paid, boosted, or sponsored posts

  • Advertising or promotional campaigns

  • Monetized content of any kind

Those uses require prior written permission and a separate commercial arrangement.

PROHIBITED USE

The following are prohibited without exception:

  • Selling, licensing, or redistributing any DiscoApe Sports content

  • Using images for AI training, model development, or synthetic media generation

  • Minting, listing, or trading images as NFTs or other tokenized assets

  • Claiming ownership or authorship of any DiscoApe Sports work

  • Using images to mock, harass, or misrepresent any athlete, coach, official, or participant. This will NOT be tolerated in any manner.

ENFORCEMENT

Unauthorized use will be met with a formal takedown request, an invoice for retroactive licensing fees, or legal action under Title 17 of the United States Code.
